Canoeing Across the English Channel
23 Oct
If they can swim it, why not try to paddle it?
Three canoeists from England made what is believed to be the first-ever crossing of the English Channel in open canoes. Simon King, 44, Steve Seinet-Martin, 52, and Dave Truzzi-Franconi, 59, recently completed the 20-plus mile crossing from Folkestone in England to Wissant in France in nine and a half hours.
The East Anglian Daily Times has THIS story on the paddlers.
The trio undertook the crossing to raise money for the East Anglian Children’s Hospice. The web-site for their fund-raising effort is HERE.
