MN State Shutdown affects paddlers, park visitors
12 Jul
The MN DNR web site says that public water launches are open for day use, but they strongly recommend against visiting – either on foot or by boat, as all facilities, restrooms, emergency services etc. are closed. Read more HERE >
Fishing licenses and canoe (boat) registrations are not available during the shutdown — meaning that if you did not purchase a fishing license before July 1, or if you’re bringing a canoe in from out of state, you’re out of luck. (Canoeists should plan on renting a canoe from a trusty local outfitter).
