Outrigger Canoe: “Art meets Ark”

We enjoyed THIS story and THESE photos of Tim Eakins Polynesian-style outrigger canoe that’s on display at the Windsor Art Center in Connecticut.
The Hartford Courant story reports that this summer Eakins plans to float his boat out the Connecticut River and then down the East Coast on a trip that could ultimately end 4,000 miles later in Brazil.
“This is the first project where my work as a sculptor is combined with my adventure bug,” Eakins told the Courant’s Steve Grant.
