Paddling Film Festival To Premier in Toronto

The Reel Paddling Film Festival will kick off its 2014 world tour on March 4th in Toronto, Ontario. The festival features winners of 10 categories, from whitewater to adventure travel. After premiering in Toronto, it will be seen at events around the world.
According to event host The Complete Paddler, the festival “showcases some of the best paddling films in the world. The festival aims to inspire more people to explore rivers, lakes and oceans, to push physical and emotional extremes, and appreciate the heritage of the wild places that people can paddle.”
Tickets are $15 at the door or $12 in advance, and can be purchased online. All of the event’s proceeds will go to Project Canoe, which “uses the outdoors, including wilderness canoeing, to create a transformative environment in which youth develop life skills, social competencies and resiliency, thereby fostering their own personal success.”
